All exhibited works of these three Cologne artists share a light, fragile and tender appearence. Filigree materials, transparent surfaces and constructions light as air support this impression. Opposite to that the content intention is weightier All works discuss the issue of cartography, but with complete different interpretations.
Stephan Brenn traces a map of the forgotten and maybe get-lost objects with his wire-drawings, like an archaeologist he preserves relicts of the throwaway society.
Wires, bails or Tums/wupper - already used and distorted are the base of his work, just newly arranged they receive their own beauty and value (back).
Rita Rohlfing focuses on urban rooms. She explores and questions the visible structures of public life with its constant changes. The installation map Cologne shows a real part of the Cologne city map, with reduction to the streets only, transformed into 3D forms  layered one upon another. A literally street net, in which skipped spaces, places and buildings are vanished, even thogh they only would  localize the people.
A map of memory offers the artistic couple Trash/Treasure for the viewers, similar to a memory board. 100 diffrent, tabloid Rorschach pictures on transparent material made out of dust images build up a big installation, throwing soft shadows on the wall. This psychoanalytic related procedure examines the viewers personality. Mind map invites the visitors to start a personal memorial journey which can lead to diffrent destinations depending on the made experiences and lived adventures.
